Sounds like a good time, but just so you know i am no pivot man....
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Just made up a batch, followed the original recipe minus half the sugar. Also only 750ml of Everclear as that was that was available and buying a second bottle prob would have resulted in me actually using it.

I bottled right around 85* , so I could start dinner.

I may go back and filter just for kicks. I did strain it with a fine sieve, so no chunks just cloudy.

Produced exactly 9 quarts as advertised.

Initial taste is great, looking forward to a little larger sample! Get ready for the in laws tomorrow.

Thanks to the OP and other contributors.

Just got home. The pot i cooked it in has been in the fridge for the last 3 hours. It is nice and cold. Added the 151 and put it in Pint jars. I got 8 pint jars and the empty bottle of 151. and i got half of a pint to drink tonight. Man is it good... Not as sweet as i thought it would be.

Those bottles look very familiar.. :chuckle: :chuckle:

I get my refills in an unbreakable bottle, no heart breaking accidents in camp ;)
