Just finished filling 36 small mason jars full of this stuff   Of course I am drinking a little too and I have to say.....THIS STUFF IS NUCLEAR!!   :yike: :yike: :yike:

Cheers  :brew:

Does anyone put theirs in the fridge?  Any reason not to put it in the fridge??

Thanks

Johnny
I put mine in the frig.  To me it taste even better cold but I also let it age.  I have a couple jars from last year.  Cracked one a couple monts ago  damn good.

Perfect....Thanks for the comment.  I have heard it is better aged too.  I plan on drinking the first ones during Thanksgiving.  The rest will follow but I have enough easily to last me a year.

To the fridge they go.

Where is everyone getting their everclear??  I cannot find it anywhere....  I am not a huge drinker so I need help with a substitute grain alcohol.  Can someone use rum, like bicardi 151??
I used the 151 Bicardi and it tasted great, already need to make more.  Going to the pumpkin patch with the kids tomorrow, going to see if they have some homemade cider and give that a try . MMMMM

I've found the 190 at the former state liquor stores.

That is what I have made my first batch with.  Got the stuff for a new batch soon.  Going to put more cider in and less apple juice.  It taste really good but to me it is a bit sweet.  This batch is going to be Xmas gifts with some saved for me.  Hint hint to those getting into the gift exchange this year.

Just and fyi, most of the recipes are way too sweet, it will mellow and loose some of that sweetness as time passes. But like i said add more alcohol and it will not be as sweet......

I have found it best to sit in the fridge for a little while before drinking. If I need or want it right a way I will cut it with some water.
