I feel your pain Gasman, same thing has happened to me twice this year, once in oakville, once in montesano on opening day. It's frustrating as hell. But I use it as motivation to knock on doors to find private land to hunt ( not that i have been extremely successful ) also, the delta is a good place to try if you haven't. Loram97 and i have been talking about getting out there together.

We checked it out last year but never hunted it. we were just learning the area.
We are waiting for a little more water before heading down there.
Had some private property last year but the guys losing the land in a few weeks  :bash: :bash: :bash:

Hey Gasman! JBLM has hired 2 full time wardens. I have met both of them and they are good guys. I have been checked several times, both duck and pheasant hunting. I asked for their business cards and they both put their direct numbers on them for me. In this instance, I would have called directly. I can share the numbers with you if you pm me. There is no room for stupid people and stupid antics!

Rules say if someone is within 100 yards of you they WILL move or you will call the MP's. I was really tempted to when some guy set up directly across from us. I ended up trying REALLY hard to practice my calls whenever ducks came around. I was worried about getting peppered :chuckle: They didn't stay long. The comment made when they packed up was that they were sorry and didn't notice our setup until the sun hit them.  :bash: They didn't have any excuse as to why they didn't immediately relocate.

You show up even earlier than I do!  :yike:

we show up early for this very reason.  but this was bad....they literally showed up at 6am, legal shoot was 635 (if i remember correctly)...then walked through the marsh not 15 yrds from our decoy spread 10 min before shoot time...even AFTER we shined them with out lights.  not like you couldn't see us or the decoys sitting in the ONLY open water that wasn't frozen.

oh well...lesson learned i guess.  would have been a bad lesson learned for them had i let Gasman do what he wanted to do...lol   :yike:
