Spray your clothing, boots, and pack (even your tent if you desire) down with Permanone. Will repel ticks, fleas, mosquito, etc. Once sprayed down it'll last a couple weeks.

Not sure where you are seeing snakes, but never seen them around our property above Colville.
Lots of bears around, I just have not been able to call them in yet.

Been calling in the Huck around our property, but the only thing I have had come in so far has been Moose. Strange to have them moaning and grunting to Rabbit in Dostress and have them come lumbering in.
Have several prime bear areas with lots of sign, but so far no luck. Think they are not liking my singing.

Dekuma I hunt alot up between Springdale and Hunters. I'd be happy to try and call in a big ol slobbering bear for you or with you anytime you want to go.

I may need to take you up on that! Appreciate it. Our property is above Rice. About half our to 45 min from Hunters. I have not explored the area around there much, but Hunters, Springdale, and Fruitland look like great areas. Cannot seem to get the coyotes interested either, and there are a LOT of those around the area as well. I have seen two cougar on our property as well, but never during season.
Would love to have someone show me more available areas around those parts. My dad is 67 now, and it is getting to be rough for him to take major hikes. Need to find areas that are more open to glass with easier access than what we have in our area.

I'd be happy to show you some spots on the other side of the Huckleberry's from where your hunting. Now that it is beginning to cool down a bit I'll be going out quite a bit. Just let me know.
