Just tonight my son-in-law shot a 3x4 that dressed out at 177lbs.  I will post pictures when I have access to a computer and internet.  The mature bucks around here get big. He was totally on fire, this was his third deer.  Very proud mother-in-law!!!

Where are the 500 pound guesses?   Those are my favorite.   Sorry AOD, we had a thread about this about 3 years ago.  It was a doozy

This is my biggest bodied buck and the biggest one I've seen in person. My buddy laying next to it is 220lb range, that should be a good comparison. We were unable to weigh it, quartered it and almost a 3 mile pack out but I'm confident this was in the 200lb range.

Hope your buddy doesn't get ticks on him from that deer.  My bear and whitetail were full of them this year.

That buck was full of them. Almost covered his brisket, big fat blood filled ones.

That's a giant bow hunter

My dad has shot 2 that were 200lbs, about 20years ago.  Some of these big high country ones mentioned could be muley/blackies?  Anyone over 200 is a bigggggg one!  But yes they can get 200+.  I would average a mature blackie around 180, 70ilbs meat.?
MAGA!  Again..

This sounds about exactly right. For a MATURE blacktail buck. I'm in Wyoming staying at a buddies house who is a taxidermist and have yet to see a muley buck come in that's 300lbs. The lowlands open Thursday though so the big Cornfed bucks will be showing up soon, still doubt I will see a true 300lb buck.

I killed one that hanging skinned at Mt. View Meats was 145.  Figured around the 200lb live weight mark. Mature buck.

My dad's big blacktail was hanging carcas with head on 145 lbs.  Guess it to be around 225-250 live weight.  He was a hog taken out by hearts lake years ago.
