First quacker hunt of the year
« on: October 27, 2012, 01:59:56 AM »
Its 2:00 am and I am here eating some cereal, about ready to head out on the first duck hunt of the year. Pretty stoked. Good luck to all who are out and about and be safe.

I been seeing lots of geese flying over up here into the cut corn fields....looks like its going to be a good year for honkers.
If you love something you will set it free, if it don't come home, hunt it down and kill it.

Ended up with two limits. We came home with 13 birds because we lost one in the reeds. It was a fun hunt and we had to work at it. Got pretty wet out there and to top it off, I fell picking up decoys and got a nice rush of water down my waders!

Been there, done that, under the ice. :yike:

Sounds like a good day.

Got my first hunt yesterday. 3 ducks. Dog did awesome.
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!
