I'm waiting to hear if there is a story but this series of pics were taken in a residential area where no shooting is allowed not even archery. In Wisconsin not Washington !! What a shame 

EDIT: This deer has been hanging out in a residential area in Wisconsin and has had the arrow in it for at least 2 days confirmed maybe longer !!

He could have been shot outside of the neighborhood.  Bet that right lung is not moving much air. Can't imagine he will survive this longterm.

Shot placement is not great but not terrible either.  Must have been a 25lb. bow, no penetration.  Maybe hit a shoulder blade?  Sad...

Agree.. but he is in the city limits and NO shooting zone not even archery, and would have to go a couple miles before he could be in a legal hunting area. DNR said its out of their jurisdiction and the city police said to let it die on its own and if you have a tag then its yours.

That is a shame, they should allow someone to be accompanied by an LEO and just take care of it.  My experience growing up back there was that there used to be a lot more common sense.

Here's an idea, grab your ATV with the brush guard on front, run him over and then just slit his throat... perfectly legal to put down a vehicle hit animal in WI, don't even have to waste a tag to keep it.     Heck, you could probably hit him with a bicycle as he is probably not moving too quickly.

Don't know how long that arrow is but I bet it hit one lung atleast a little.... He won't make it through that...
