I have a few friends hunting today. And they all have seen bucks chasing does. Nothing big yet but I have gotten some pics of spikes and forked horns today.

Thats an awesome buck Krout! Some true monsters on this thread. Its cool how much interest there is in blacktail hunting. It seems to be picking up momentum which is a great thing. Unfortunately we are losing more and more timber company ground each year in which to hunt these ghosts. Not the thread for this and I am well aware of the complications but the public really needs to come up with a solution to the timber land public access problem in western WA.

The timber he was in is gone. The clearcut he grew up in to curl his rack is now surrounded by more clearcut and gates :-(
