I lived there from 1980 to 1986. Best deer hunting in the world. I definitely miss that place.

I'm disappointed Every time I get on here with the lack of new hog Blacktails killed. Come on guys I some motivation.

Zip again this year for me. Hunted pre dawn to after dusk on Thursday and Friday. Came home and got the gear all cleaned up and put away.  I only saw 4 does, one spike and one forky.  The forkey I passed on in hopes he'll be something worth tagging in four years, five or six for the spike.  After all, if everyone keeps shooting anything with a legal spike, that's all we'll ever see.  Besides, I'm after the venison more than another antlers, and those spikes only net 30lbs of tiny stakes and burger.  Now a full grown blacktail hog,,, well that's something worth packing out and putting in the freezer.

Here's to next year!
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.

I didn't have success on a Muley last weekend, so I'll start hunting blacktails this weekend and hopefully connect on one of my target bucks. Good Luck to all.

Ill be starting my season tomorrow as well. Finally some good blacky weather rolling in.My 14 year old boys season started today and the deer were out and about all morning . He caught a spike in a clearing first thing and couldn't resist trying out his new christensen arms mesa 6.5 creed and let one rip.
