That is too bad, was it the young hunter's decision to not go through with it, maybe school conflict?
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

Maybe things will work out for it to come together next year.  Seemed like there was quite a bit of interest in getting the youngster into the woods.  It would be great to see the average hunter age start trending down.

I know when I took my daughter through hunter safety last year they were real happy to see all the youth signed up and even happier with all the females in the class.  They like female hunters because apparently statisticly women vote more than men so they want female sportsman to understand the facts about hunting and be informed when voting.

Not my decision not to go through with it.  It ended up that a parent was not able to stay with me for the weekend.

Bummer, maybe it will work out for next year.  Sounds like you have some great offers, I hope it all comes together for you.  Being out there is a great experience and I am sure it is tough when your family isn't into it.  Good luck.
