well no luck, its dark as dark gets, my son was having a cougar heart attack, 2 flashlights took a crap almost immediately, and it was pissing rain,  it just got too ugly and dangerous out there, we advised better to be back at daylight, so were headed to bed and we will be back there in 6 hrs. sounds like the bear turned at the last second and was quartered away and may, may not have gotten a lung shot but did hit the dirt then get up and haul a$$ so hopefully we can find him come light, sounds like he was a good size bear

Best of luck to you guys, it's going to be challenging since it's been pissing rain all night, but it can certainly be done. I wish I could come down and help but I'm at work in Everett. I will be rooting for you though. I'm looking forward to some pic's later on today.

9 solid hrs today we covered roughly a 2000 sq yard grid, every inch, nothing, no blood no nadda. its forested but no undergrowth its like mossy lawn so easy to see. he said it was quartered away, i think it was hit but nothing fatal

there is though, a island 200 yards away we could not access to check, but the creek needing crossed is 15' wide and very deep and hard rushing water, it could have headed there but i scoped it pretty good and didn't see anything or id have went swimming  sorry BigGuy we tried
