It was a bull my buddies bull on opening day of his Blue Mt rifle permit.  Down by 730am.  Two shots right behind the shoulder all on film.  Ruffed him out at 371 and some change.  It was the Greatest Elk hunt I've ever been on!!!

Hope this isn't considered disrespectful.  I bought a frame pack this year and helped haul 4 deer and two elk with it, best investment in a while. Ultimate success on this deer, I watched him from May till death.

Didn't think Pope hunt deer anymore except with a camera.

LOL.  I think I've shot a deer 4 of the last 6 years I hunted and all nice animals. Throw in a moose, couple elk also.  It seems that way though as I spend 3/4ths of my time shooting just pictures rather than a gun or bow.  Hoping to sheep hunt one year here...
