PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST  September 2008
Please enter your favorite photo into our photo of the month contest.

Septembers Theme....BOWHUNTING/ARCHERY

The photo must have been taken by the entrant, but there is NO time limit set to how long ago the picture was taken. If the category happens to include field photos, they can be taken by someone else as long as it is of the entrant themselves.)
- The photo must pertain to hunting or fishing or the outdoors in some fashion and it must match with the current months theme.
-Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS
-2 entries per contestant are allowed per month. If more than 2 entries are submitted the first two elegible ones will be the ones accepted for the contest.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 26th of the current month(September) in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judging as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site. Though I am thinking a good Montana or Idaho bull will do this month. ;)
-Previous Photo of the month entries will not be eligible for this months contest
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest. (Sorry Javman, you'll have to sit this one out)
-Entries will be accepted or rejected as is, meaning the judges will no longer enhance, or alter images. Resizing is legal if you can talk a moderator into doing it for you.

The photos will be evaluated by a panel of Judges made up of  Boneaddict, Jackelope, Billy the Kid Rock, Huntwa,  Shadow cat Bobcat Tl Bradford, Slenk, and  Sisu.  The winner (NO TIES) will be announced as soon as we come to a majority decision.

Wow guys, I expected to come back to see some dandy photos.  What the heck?  I know Bucklucky should win it with his big bull, but what do we have folks?  Doesn't have to be a field photo.

Ok - just to get a picture on here - Chelan County late.  Took it with the self timer, not what I planned but I like the result.

BTW, though I've been fortunate enough to kill over a dozen fully mature bucks, only two had larger bodies than this big 'ol gal.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Well, since there are not many entries yet I'll share a couple of photos of bowhunting. They are both from a bowhunt in 94 in Skagit County when I arrowed my P&Y blacktail. The first is of the the buck and I. The second is at the bottom of the clearcut where we drug 2 bucks out that day (My dad and I). I've always really like the group photo since it was random but looked posed.

Glad to see more entries. Different animals too. This should be a difficult month to judge.
