Saved from being poached
« on: November 02, 2012, 03:12:50 PM »
Since I introduced the guy to this site........he now knows what I know.....    He was watching this buck when I came up on him.  Eagles gave his secret away the next day.   I thought he and his wife were really nervous, especially when he saw I had all those cameras.  This one will live to see another day.

Its been forwarded on to who needs to know.   If the guy who I introduced to this site decides to log on and check it out, then he can squirm a bit.    No riddle, just part of the story.  Enjoy this buck, he is still out there happy as can be spreading his genes, which appear to be fairly good.

Cryptic... but it sounds like a good outcome.  You going to have to decide where a bunch of extra points get applied next year Bone?

Bone introduced a guy to the site who saw his previously posted pictures of this awesome buck. Said guy was caught in the act of attempting to poach it by Bone. At least that's the way I understood it.

I came upon him and his wife looking at this buck.  They left.   They left behind a present I didn't find until the next day compliments of bald eagles.    Another buck, gutted and abandoned.   Photos of tracks, deer, coordinates of deer, description of vehicle and people and the statement of the conversation forwarded to the proper authority.   Does that make it easier for everyones brain?   This buck was bigger, so I assume they were thinking about upgrading.

Sounds like he poached a different one right before Bone came upon him. Then because he and his wife were acting so nervous Bone went and investigated later on the next day!

Bone

Do you have a straight on or away look at this buck.  I am trying to estimate size of animals and this looks like  a good one to practice on.

Thanks

Thank you for doing the right thing for all of the sportsmen on this site.

Hopefully you won't suffer the accusations and villification from the masses with pitchforks who think you should mind your own business at risk of getting your ass kicked and suffering lawsuits.

Great photos.

What bone reminded many of you to do is when you go out into the wilderness BRING YOUR FREAKING CAMERA! It can make a case for MANY situations this just happens to be one of them!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Bone, if you do not mind my asking, what lens were you using for those shots and at what distance?

He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

Glad he was there. I can't wait to catch another poacher. Not that I want there to be a poacher but I know there are poachers and I want them in jail and 10 bull points for me
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
