i have a friend in the montesano / wynoochie area id like to hunt with, looking for any information on where is huntable, gates, etc..

might check out the elk area back in the green diamond land if its open the one year I tried to hunt back in there they were logging and no access allowed..... :bash: :bash:

Even better, the field going into the White Bridge ramp has always got 20 - 60 elk.  Just don't step over the fence or you'll git shot.

Take a drift boat, drop in at the 7400 launch, by the time you reach the white bridge take out you should have been able to kill and elk somewhere along the way.

Try 1pm instead....if theres anyone that lives out there that logs they will be getting home about then and everyone else is still working.....traffic should be minimum around that time  :chuckle:

but he is getting a feel for the sense of humor needed when approaching the nooch during elk season......you will see elk they will be flipping you off from every farm and private pasture you can find  :chuckle: and in the woods you will find a rolling pumpkin patch

if you want maps you can go to shelton to green diamond and they sell maps of their tree farms and like I said call first to find out whats closed they shut down the entire area I scouted to log the week of elk season not the week before not the week after just that week
