Sounds like a great hunt with your kids! Congrats! What caliber rifle did he take the cow moose with?
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Thanks guys, he was shooting a 30-06 with 165gr bullets.

I'll try to get some more pics up after getting the meat taken care of and gear unpacked and repacked for his deer hunt next weekend.

That is sooooo coooool

Question for everyone.  I never thought about even applying for a moose tag.  Figured it's a once in a lifetime hunt and if I got it would basicly want a guide since I REALLY don't know the area.  Is there that much public land to hunt on your own and viable enough to have an expectation of getting a cow???  This hunt makes it sound like a good eastside deer hunt???

Congratulation to you and your son.  Elk and moose in the same year is amazing.

We'll be heading out Thursday night for a 4 day weekend hoping to fill my sons youth moose tag.  Which unit were you in?  Spokane North or South?

Great job Goose and son!  Have to love your daughter's interest... Mine has no interest and I am just living through my niece and nephew until my son is of age.

Chuck S - i will send you a pm so as to not jack the thread of this awesome story of this young man.
