I picked up trash after a bunch of guys two weeks ago at Nisqually only to go back this past Sat to an even bigger mess of shells, candy bar wrappers and drink containers plus they destroyed the natural brush in this spot that makes a great natural blind.I'd like to see a "Bold Print" Sticky post about policing our shells etc on this waterfowl forum if possible.
I don't think it has anything to do with carbon footprint. Shells laying around everywhere look like crap, and make the non-hunters that use the area believe that hunters just kill the wildlife and throw trash everywhere. Too many people already look at hunting badly... seems like picking up shells is an easy thing to keep them from thinking even worse of us.

Just poor etiquette and laziness not to pick up after yourself and to leave the cover in poor/unuseable condition.
There is a growing number of farmers leaving the QH program due to litter.
plus its good karma. we were having a tough week of elk hunting and started picking up empty beer cans shells wrappers etc. and the next day had a elk walk in to our laps. kinda weird how that happens. be a good human and do the right thing and clean up after yourself and others if you can.
Be it duck of pheasant hunting, I always come home with more hulls then I have fired myself. We make shotgun shell christmas lights out of. But still, its friggin garbage people! Pick it up!!!
