Watershed stories?
« on: November 06, 2012, 12:33:57 PM »
It sure seems like there were a lot of guys on here with Watershed tags looking for info this summer.  The season ended a couple days ago, where's the reports?  How was it besides wet and foggy?

saw a couple bulls come out.  two on the biscuit ridge access at one camp.  one monster (lost count around 9-10 points on one side  :yike: :yike:), the other a respectable bull.     saw a rig at the fire station up mill creek adjusting the load or looking for something in the bed with a great bull opening weekend.  also saw a pickup in WW with at least two racks in the back thursday night.  looked like they were out showing off.  :chuckle:

also thursday night, around ritzville, saw a rig towing a horse trailer headed west with two excellent bulls in the bed.  Idaho, maybe?  :dunno:

then there was the washington wall hanger spike tied on the front of a four wheeler in the bed of a pickup headed through dixie on sunday around noon.  not a very big elk, about the size of a muley, but hey!  a spike!

worked HARD for 8 days and the guy I was with ate his tag.  He passed on a couple ok bulls but no monsters.  I saw 8 bulls killed... so it wasn't a great harvest this year.  Tough weather and steep hills added to the challenge.  I love that place.

Guy I know ended up with tag soup.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

new district 4 fire station.  no doubt they outgrew the old building, but i think the old man thought the landscaping was a bit much.   :chuckle:
