New to hunting and to forum
« on: November 06, 2012, 07:56:23 PM »
Hello all,
At 44, I went deer hunting for the first time this year. I didn't get a deer but my hunting buddy did. I must say I'm now addicted. I can't wait for late buck to try and fill my tag.

Last week-end I went out scouting and took my shotgun with and got a couple shots off at a grouse but missed. Guess its time to practice on some clays.

I grew up around guns and hiking, hunting is the best of both worlds.

I have been reading this forum and enjoying it so I figured I should introduce myself.

Welcome to the club. Never to late to start this great lifestyle.

Welcome to the addiction Slinger!

jk i know there has to be a thread on hear about postings pictures... dont know where. To post a story click the tab New Topic on the top of the page inside whatever section you want to post Backcountry Hunting, Deer Hunting etc and to post pictures make sure they are formated to a small enough size and attach them in the Attachments and other options on the bottom of the Start New Topics page.

cool welcome
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

WELCOME!

Think about joining a local chapter of  a hunting/conservation club like WA Waterfowl Association, Wenatchee Sportsman Club, Inland Wildlife Council, etc....lots of great people who will help show you the ropes if you put in some volunteer time.

Good intro  usually a first post consists of " where are the deer", and of course we always oblige by answering "in the woods"  :chuckle:
