Anyone seeing any "new" birds yet on the river?  Brewster, Pateros, Crescent Bar, Vantage?

Yes. I was bellow the Cheif Joseph Dam 2 weeks ago, and saw tons of birds.
I even saw a bunch of pellicans.
I saw lots of early migrators, like Cans and teal. But mostly Coot.
I was quail hunting along the river, so I didn't really pursue the ducks, but I did see lots of big rafts of small ducks, especially divers.
Stan Marsh: "My Uncle Jimbo says we gotta get up there early. Right Uncle Jimbo?"

Jimbo: "That's right, Stanley. Animals are much easier to shoot in the morning."

Heard similar re: North zone from a couple elk hunting buddies.  I will be driving near the CB and Vantage area later today for work.  Planning on deviating from most direct route so I can do some scouting.  Hopefully I have something worthwhile to report back later...

Any other reports?  Headed over that way Sunday for 2 days.  Still trying to get the drake redhead monkey off my back.  Only been 20 yrs....lol.  Starting to see a lot of divers on the west side so hoping they will be there too.

Thanks for the update!  If I can just get my one drake redhead I'd stop making the trek over the mountains. :bash:

Nice job Cryfowl, I still have that monkey on mine, really want to get that redhead.

We hit the river this last weekend. Not many divers in the place we hunted yet, some goldeneye and bills. We did good on wigeon and mallards though.
what in the wild wild world of sports???
