2012 Wind River Elk Hunt
« on: November 13, 2012, 10:27:07 PM »
Well not to much of a story.. but I missed the first week of Rifle Elk due to work :bash: We made it up friday night the 9th after work and set up camp. Seen two cows the first day but was unable to get a shot opportunity, for the next couple days after that we could never find any Elk as it seemed we were always a step behind them. Then finally today we located a herd within 10 minutes from the truck, couldn't find any horns in the bunch but I was able to get a shot on this cow and fill my cow permit.

Congrats. I used to hunt there every year. Elk can be tough to find.

to me the best part were having the kids there to experience memories for a lifetime...
