Take a look and please give me your opinions. Considering emailing this person and suggesting a straight across trade for a .30-30.

What kind of 30,30 do you have?
I have a bow tech sniper I might be willing to trade?

This actually looks like a pretty good deal, assuming that everything is taken care of and in good working order.  The Rip Cord rest is an excellent rest, and the sight/stabilizer look pretty decent.  I have never shot a Bowtech, have you?  I'd be a little concerned about the short brace height.  If you can shoot it well and like that seems to be a good price.

I have a Marlin .30-30 with scope and studs for sling. Don't remember the scope brand but it is solid. The gun is in great condition and shoots solid inch groups at 100 with the Hornaday Leverolution ammo. I'm considering the trade for a back up bow and already have a Marlin .308 so the .30-30 is a bit redundant.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me. I shot a Bowtech VFT Justice for years and never had any issues with it.

Neither or both.  It simply means that he is either a pawn shop, a dealer, or a very prolific bow buyer and seller....

If someone recognizes his place and that he frequently has them for sale it's arguably safe to assume he's never shot it...

So read into the post, and maybe call and ask questions that nobody else would ask.  like has it ever been wet (not that it matters now day's) or if it's been dropped...     The answers if he's only had it a short time or took it on a trade will be  obvious.
Those who assume that I assume are going to eventually approach the conclusive event where their conclusion will be that I'm not assuming anything!

I too am looking for a bow, and would trade my .30-.30, IF anyone is interested. It's a Marlin, lever action, and it has a scope rail mounted (no scope though). Beautiful Rifle.

If and when I get serious I would post on here and try and deal with someone local....do the swap at Nock Point or somewhere and have the bow looked at prior to the exchange. Good points Kool....I appreciate the input.

You'll need a bunch of cash to equal his $800 asking price. That's my .02
Nice bow. Short brace height is what I think people don't like about those bows. Not very forgiving.

I buy lots of bows online. For that same $425 you can get a newer bow online at www.archerytalk.com in the classifieds.

Just sayin.

Very true..... Archery technology improves every year so even a bow that is a couple years old is almost obsolete.

Yeah but at Archery Talk you get easily get screwed and be out of your money with nothing to show for it.  Buying a bow in person is far safer.  I have bought a few bows on Craigslist and Ebay...if you are really interested then go for it.  I will probably be selling my 2011 Destroyer 350 on Craiglist after the late hunt is over so that I can buy a new bow.  I would shoot my D350 next to any of those haters that chimed in about Bowtech.  They are probably Matthews shooters that just buy what tthe hunting shows tell them to.  Shoot some bows and see what you like.  The Bowtech Assassin isn't too much more than that and comes fully equipped shotting 340 fps....with a 7 inch brace!  I have shot a lot of bows in the last few years and found Hoyt and Bowtech to be a step above the rest lately, but to each his own.

Ever since bowtech screwed me over I have nothing good to say about them. They dont honor their product/warranty.  I used to own a Tomcat, now its a Pepsi can or something.

Let me guess, they said you dry fired it?  Their bows are awesome.... but the customer service reviews seem to have a common theme.  I have heard it depends a little bit on your dealer tho.

Nope the Tomkat was manufactured wrong.  The valley was so far off sights would fall off and rest needed spacer.  Limbs cracked twice and they replaced that.  The bow would never paper tune and only shoot decent with whisker biscuit rest.  Two bowshops tried every combo and spoke with bowtech and shipped it back to them.  Bowtech said it must use whisker biscuit for a rest and everything was in specs.  They finally told me I was A jerk for calling them and speaking to Scott the warranty manager because I lied and said I was a dealer.  He told me to Stick it.  I did this at the end of a two year battle.  I know of two bow shops who quit dealing bowtech due to service warranty problems like mine.  Savage will ruin this company.  I never dry fired and my arrows weigh 430grain at 69lbs.  So you tell me whats up?  I asked for a fix or replacement or even a prorated credit towards another bowtech and the dealer was told no, no, and no.  Everyone who worked on bow said ya its never going to shoot right.  Over 40yards was very inconsistant. Im not trying to trash talk but 500$ is alot of money to waste.  I will never speak good of them again.
MAGA!  Again..
