That's awesome
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Thats an interesting gun, I don't think I've ever seen a scope mounted that far forward.

It may not sound right when speaking about a lady, but your wife is a *censored*.

This is the wifey....
Thank you for all the compliments. My husband is awesome to say the least. He had me practicing Sunday, at the range, how to shoot off hand and different positions. When it was time to shoot, I sat my butt down and put my knees up, aimed and shot. Still excited today. Thankful I got this opportunity and thankful I am finished. For the record, I never hesitated and I was nothing but excited. Not the squimish type either.

Love that I'm "a *censored*" I'll take that any day.

That was a very nice deer and thanks for the heart and liver it might be my only venison this year. Me and my wife will be out tomorrow and we will say hi if we see you.

Unfortunately, I will be working on Friday and back out there on Saturday. I, suppose, that you will not be reading this until you get in on Friday night, but good luck to you and your wife! Thanks again!

Thats an interesting gun, I don't think I've ever seen a scope mounted that far forward.

Yeah, it is pretty much a Scout rifle. This is one that Ruger came out with a few years back. It is discontinued, now, they have another version out that I would love to get, but this one gets the job done. It, believe, weighs 5 1/2 pounds and has a 16 1/2 barrel. 2 1/2 power Leupold, forward mounted. I bought it for hunting the brush.

My buddy got me into these scout type guns. The thought behind it is you throw the gun up, both eyes remain open, and you kind of just automatically aim. MY friend, same guy, practiced his at a range that had a 100 yard gong. He would stand there off hand and throw that gun up and shoot, just like that, and hit that 8" gong 4 out of 5 times, all day long, and his shots were so fast because it was so natural, almost just like looking at the target, just happened to be a scope in between.

Thanks for all the "Congrats" on here. I know that I get complacent when posting compliments, at times, and this means a lot to my wife that so many of you took the time to say a few words.

Here is a "as it lies" photo which really shows the swollen neck.

The only weight that we got was at the butcher. No head, guts, hide, or lower legs, just meat and bones it was a respectful 120 pounds.
