And next spring the does will all have fawns and yet the story of how the rut did not happen will continue!

Interesting how that works isn't it.

I just got home from my sisters buck tag and the bucks were getting more stupid every day. When you can sit in one spot and watch multiple bucks running ridge tops with noses to the ground... It's on.

Not saying it isn't going on. Just not as obvious in some place as others.

Besides it was planned out by someone much wiser than any of us on here!

How many people remember when Late Buck opened the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and went to the second weekend in  December for modern rifle.

Was by Eloika Lake all day watch over 20 does not a horn in the batch!  :dunno:

Was up that way last Tuesday.  Two very small buck in camp not at all in the rut.  Observed another buck just outside of colville in the back of pickup with very small neck, spoke to the guy and he indicated as well not rut activity.

I seen small small scrapes but all in all no serious rutting activity yet.

However last night a 5 ran in front of me off Wall right in town, obviously in the rut.  Have not implemented a all out brake in the Denali for awhile.

Looks like the late rifle may end before the rut gets into full swing.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.
