From the sounds of the original post the land on both sides of the road is private property. Yes the road might be a county road but unless the deer is standing in the road they would be trespassing and if the deer was in the road they would be in violation of "Prohibited Hunting Methods #6 Discharging a fire arm from, across, or along the maintained portion of any public highway, regardless of surface, is prohibited, except for hunters with disabilities in compliance with WAC 232-12-828"

Don't feel bad I have little or no use for road hunters either.

Yes it is nice tpo be scouting deer year round but don't be an azzhat and scout on private property unless you have permission ahead of time then don't be a lazy azzhat and at least get out of your da*ned vehicle

There is not much to misunderstand here.  The original post is a complaint about GLASSING deer from a public road.  Not a big deal.

the intent is clear, if its during a hunting season and i suspect the wearing of orange even involved, they are hunting. glassing is what you say when you get questioned by a local, or by law enforcement.  oh, i forgot, another common one i get, is , i'm just looking for cell phone reception.

So if I am on my way home from hunting and see a deer in someones field I can't even stop to look at it? What if it is a nice buck and I just want to look at him? Do I have to take my orange off first or is it still not ok since it is during hunting season?

and...the original thread was not intended to simply sound like i have an issue with glassing my property. Its the constant traffic of guys in orange vests driving up and down my road turning around and sitting in front of my driveway when the whole dang road is private. I know the intent and frankly dont care for it. It isnt hunting...

On the public road in front of my property ok, but not in my driveway.  I see it year around but not necessarily the orange part just during hunting season.

If its private put up a gate with a sign. It's not like hunting season is very long in this state so it wouldn't be that big an inconvenience to me if it bothers you that bad.

Ya'll should get off his case, he's not saying that people are stopping to look at a deer standing out in his yard, he is saying they are stopping and glassing his yard. There is a big difference.

Just my two cents....This time of year I will drive around and glass private fields and orchards just to get pictures and see deer I usually would not otherwise see.  Does not always mean they are hunting, poaching or otherwise trespassing.  If it is truly a private rd...then the above does not apply.  I will not trespass to take pics.  I will pull off the side of a county rd though.
