ROAD HUNTERS!!!
« on: November 17, 2012, 03:59:27 PM »
I live at the end of a county road. I cant even keep track of how many hunters drive up and down the road at 5mph. THEN STOP AND GLASS MY FIELD. Whats the deal?  Why would any hunter drive up and down roads that are completely private property, then glass property they dont have permission to hunt. What the heck, gonna shoot a deer in my front yard!!! I might lose my mind if it continues. Sorry guys. Had to vent. :bash:

I am guessing you are not the only resident on the county road..

Where we are from we have a neighbor that lives on a county road and his house is the only house on the county road... sits right in the middle of prime hunting.

The county allows him to gate it and lock it to keep hunters out!..this road is surrounded by several 100's of acres containing  Prime elk and deer hunting...

We scouted it one day and kinda wondered why we could not be allowed to hunt the county land, as we are tax payers like every other home owner is......  :dunno:... just my  :twocents:

Consider it a compliment.  You have land worth oohing and aahing over.

Unless somebody actually shoots an animal, you should try to not let it get to you.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

What's the problem?  They are on a public road and looking at wildlife, not tresspassing or anything.  Seriously what is the issue?

Sounds like what a "Sunday drive" is all about.

Yes, some probably would shoot it in your yard.  Even if a little kid was hand feeding it corn or apples.  Some people are just that way.  (I've had hunters park in my driveway during archery and then start walking the neighborhood...shooting at any deer they saw.  Arrows have been found in the sides of houses/stuck in fences/etc.)  Maybe you could plant a large hedge along your fenceline.

when im driving on county roads through deer country im always looking for animals.  if i see deer on somebodys property ill stop and glass them if theyre not close enough to get a good naked eye look.  im not going to shoot the animals in your field,  but i still want to look at them.  last i checked its not illegal to look at deer from a county road

I don't even glance at posted land because I don't want to see something I can't shoot.  I also get on the gas if both sides are marked and get the hell outta there.

my area is south of spokane about 20 miles, 90 percent of the hunters, a term i use loosely are intending to trespass and drive around all day with that intent.. this year one even decided to get into a head on collision with a neighbor. i hate their guts frankly.
i got one arrested last year for loaded gun in vehicle and trespass. this year i got two arrested, both for same. i hunt trespassing road hunting slobs as much as i hunt deer. becoming a hobby in my neck of the woods for alot of us. finally getting some enforcement out here. cant wait for the decoy next year.....you know who you are, im sure a few of you are on here, that was your only warning.
