what yall recomend for hunting pants for mid and late season. iv had the browning gor tex microfleece for the last 6 years or so but have gone through three pairs (blown out seams and snags).

I like army surplus BDU pants when it's not wet.  They are cheap, durable, and comfy in my opinion.  Add long johns if it's cold.  If it's very cold and mostly dry I wear wool.  Wet weather like late season on the coast I wear long johns and Cabela's MT050 rain gear.

 Want to buy about twelve sets of BDU's, I hate the things due to their lack of ability to shed moisture.  Wore them for twenty years so maybe thats why I don't like using them for hunting.?  Large regular is the size....

Jeans and duofolds or Filson wool.

I've heard good things about Filson whipcords. I can't say I've tried them yet, but will soon, as I got a  couple pairs off ebay for cheap. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be using them, since they sell for $180.

Wool.  I have had gortex this and gortex that and they still get wet up the pants leg.  

Two things about wool
1.  Buy the kind that is machine washable
2.  Don't buy black, it may look good but it may look good to someone in a scope in September too.

Wool for when it's cool out.  Wool for when it's slightly cold.  And I really like wool when it's cold out.

Wool! I start the year with wool dress slacks. Nice and light and no itch. When it gets cold out I'll go with some army surplus. If you shop around you can find various thickness of the army surplus. Just wash in Woolite detergent when dirty.

For the deer hunt, eastern wa, almost anything quiet, sometimes nylon-very breathable if warm out, sometimes microfiber if cold out.

For the elk hunt, western wa, microfiber rain gear over thermal leggins....they don't call it the rainforest for being dry...

I wear BDUs or Carhartts, I have not been able to find the camo six pocket in a couple years so I settled for dark drown.

Sporthill pants, exellent for mid to late season here.  Eco-challenge type pants, extremely durable, warm and water resistant, dries very quickly.  They have a new camo pattern out, super great for high hunts and hiking hunts....  Early season Sitka Mountain pants..........

Sitka Mountain Pant, best pants I have ever hunted in, although I don't think Sitka makes them any more.

nat gear brand fleece. i have never seen a tighter weave fleece. I have many many pairs of pants, but they are just right for me. they have no membrane at all, but shed water well and dry so fast it is stupid. I even wore them on my w washington elk hunt last year.......you boys flat get rain over there.
