Buddies nice 5x4 Blacktail

Nice island blacktail for you to see. 5x4 if you include the eye guards for 7 total points.

   My buddy Jeff nailed it with a 12 gauge first thing Saturday morning. He used an old Ithica Deer Slayer with a Federal True Ball slug.  Probably a 60 yard shot  and the deer took off another 100 or so yards after the hit. Liver and partial lung shot, so he didn't go right down. All in all a tough hunt. No gimme at all. Not the biggest plot of land and patience is required. There were a lot of nice deer out there and we have been averaging 1 a year between us for the last few years.
