ok guys here ya go....sorry it took so long...i ended up with a 11hr day at work today in this storm...no fun
sorry for the pics...the cameras were getting pretty wet and the only one i had in the field was my droid and it was water logged...my mom took all these pics and i was to tired to deal with it..so there not the best but oh well.....hes not the biggest buck but hes a pretty big buck for grays harbor..........well my dads co worker ended up shooting a spike around 2pm...i didnt want to shoot it so we told them to go ahead....it was in a hell hole and i didnt want to drag one out of it
...well after he went down after his buck i was glassing over to where it disapeared and about 5 min after the last shot this guy came out of the timber in the exact spot where the spike was...i got a good rest on a stump and i squeezed the trigger then the weatherby spoke and the deer dropped in his tracks
...150gr barnes x through the neck does the trick...it was about 250 yds...well so much for not going into this hole...we drug the mule tape into the bottom and tied up both deer and started dragging...and then the mule tape broke...first time this has happened to me...well 2hrs later the bucks were a measly 100yds closer and the tape broke 8 more times....my dads co worker decided to drive 45 min back to his house to grab the crab line...so me and my cuz sat in the pissin down rain and wind down in the bottom of this hole in the dark for 2hrs waiting for him to come back...we were frozen, hungry and ready to be home...he finally got back and he tied the line to my mule tape and we pulled the crab line down to us and we tied the bucks off and radio'd them to start pullin...half hour later the deer were at the truck....and it was now 9:30pm....we got the bucks home and my mom had dominoes waiting for us
hot food never tasted so good! he dressed out at almost 150lbs.....my buck was the 17th buck we have seen this season...and i was determined to hold out for a good buck...not quite what i had in mind but he was to big to pass on the last day

Regressed? Or was he just scarred and fat? Kind of hard to tell with the pics.
Glad you were in position for the double

It was a neck shot into the body cavity....i thought he was broadside but all i could see was neck andhead....he ended up being facing straight on and the bullet went through his neck and all the way to the back of the rib cage...so it got plenty penitration...if it was broadside like i thought it would have went clean through
