I owe you big time (ramsey peak)
« on: November 20, 2012, 05:24:53 PM »
So the story goes,,, I start out of the truck stright up hill the most direct way i can find to get to the peak since I hear there is a road closure a couple miles from the gate i usually park at, I make a harvest on a respectable buck at 1:30 pm, by the time i make it to the 'GRAVEL PIT" below the peak im completely out of water. My buddie says i will go get the truck and drive around to the closure and bring up the deer cart. I said ok since i really couldnt see getting the buck out the way we came in.  That was at 5:30 pm. At this point im am starting to cramp up bad and getting terrible headaches so i decide to try to find some water that doesnt have cow poop in it, no luck. And then out of the blue,,,, i see two water bottles stashed under some rocks, well i thought about it for a few mins, then downed them both, left a dollar in each empty bottle and put them back, kind of a douch move but i was desperate. So if you are the guy that left those bottles up there,,, i owe you, i will get you an 18 pack of your favorite beer or bottle whiskey and bring it to you. You saved my butt and i thank you. By the way we got back to the truck at 2 mins after midnight. ugh. going to get a pack frame for next year and learn how to bone out a deer after that fiasco.

Great job! The bottles would have frozen this winter and probably broke anyway so you saved the bottles look at it that way. Oh and by the way WHERE are the picture's of your buck? :chuckle:
