idaho bucks finally
« on: November 20, 2012, 09:16:57 PM »
I brought my dad over to idaho with me for the second year in a row  we have great friends over here that i have been hunting with for the last 10 years. We came over last Wednesday and hunted till today to fill 2 tags. We came over a week earlier than i would have liked to of. But that is what dads schedule allowed. Only seen 2 decent bucks the first 5 days and a half dozen little guys. Then on Monday it turned on like a light. Seen 4 nice bucks and dad and i both missed a big guy. All we could see was his head and neck at about 250 yrds. So with only 2 days left to hunt i decided to kill the next buck i saw a meat buck. So i notched my tag on this little 3 x3. We got up this morning and went back to the same property we have been hunting all week and dad was able to get this young dark horned 3x4. And it happened to be one of the bucks we had seen the day before across the river. Had a great time i love north idaho and hate going home. Didnt get the biggest bucks we saw but we are happy and have some great meat for this winter.

Nice bucks. Just remember any time you fill a tag you're doing better than 90% of the rest of the population!
