How many deer have you killed?

Ya, no kidding! I thought mid 20s with a pair of elk was above average.

I wont say because I dont want to incriminate myself. But Ive killed a lot of deer over the years. Not so many the last few because I havent needed the meat so Ive passed up a lot of opportunities.

18, mostly in Washington.  I had a 10 year "break" between 1991 and 2001.  Gone in the Army, overseas, etc...

i've gotten a few. some of the comments on here got me to thinking, letting 'em walk to be ethical VS shooting any barely legal buck. met an older man (74) who told me he hunted for 50+ years and finally got himself a "nice" one, he showed me a basket racked 4x4 whitetail, turns out he was always shooting the 1st legal 1 he saw and was always a spike or fork. to each his own, good luck to you late season hunters! 

Not everyone has the time or money to "wait" for a really nice mature buck. I hunt for meat, if its got a nice set of horns its a bonus. and just because i hunt for meat dosent mean I shoot dog sized deer either. also I hate handng my money over to the state and get nothing in return too. Thats whyI pay taxes!
