high country glass

I am just curious what you guys pack with you for scanning the high country. Binos, rangefinder, spotting scope, maybe a tripod? I appologize if this topic exists already.

I carry;

Binos: Nikon monarch 10x42
Rangefinder: leupold rx-1000 tbr
Spotting scope: leupold sequoia 15-45x?? (The crappiest spotting scope I've ever used, but it kinda works)
Tripod: the cheap one that came with the scope

steiner 10x42 predators, because nothing escapes those eyes. 
during scouting I use a 20x leupold gold ring scope to bring me a hair closer. mostly just use my boots to get closer so I can get a picture. definitly would like a better spotter I tell you. saving my dimes for a swarvorski/lieca/ziess scope

Very clear pattern, almost as clear as your view through your optics.

All I use are my 10x40 Leopolds. I have not had a reason to carry the weight of a spotting scope, when on foot its not worth it for true backcountry. Spotters  are nice though, I went on a horse back trip this year and it was very sweet to have a spotter. Not necessary tho to kill a trophy.

This was my first year with both.  I cannot believe the amount of animals I must have not seen glassing over the years.  This year I realized why I paid so much for the top glass.  I felt like I saw everything.  Good glass probably played a part in me getting my buck this year as well.

Yep, good glass is mandatory for spotting at distance. Anyone who doesn't carry a spotter only THINKS they are seeing all the deer.

Yep, you need to get a Leupy rangefinder.

I got to use the new Swaro bino/rangefinder up in B.C. a couple weeks ago, very nice unit, got it range a moose at 2028 yards....great piece of gear, but WAY too much $$$$ for this workin guy.
