Does anyone know the release schedule or number of birds released in the Klickitat county release sites?

They will never tell you when and how many they release. Too many people would show up. You can generally count on a day before the Thanksgiving weekend though.

I don't know about this year.  Last year they brought 100 birds for the Klickitat area, and realeased them at the three release sites.  Doesn't take long to wipe them out.  This is what the wild life area supervisor told me.  Kinda makes you feel warm and fuzzy doesn't it

That's actually a better number than I thought it would be... Still not great though. I've been thinking about getting a few chicks. I might have to next spring. I figure it can't hurt. I raised a few in school and it actually wasn't very expensive or difficult. Thanks for the input/help.

Yep I have always wondered too. I was over at the Steamboat Rock release site yesterday. Not a soul in sight except me. I had the place to myself for the 4+hrs I was there. I jumped one, saw feathers everywhere like a bunch got wiped out. Saw another running across the highway while I was leaving. I thought for sure I would have seen more birds and hunters.

When I pheasant hunted the one year that I did, I hunted with someone who had a friend that released them so I always knew when they released them  :chuckle: :IBCOOL:
