Montana was Fun
« on: November 22, 2012, 07:32:09 PM »
Had a great time in mt the weather was almost too good it was in the 50 during the day and high 20;s at night. Does;nt seem so far going over but coming back and hitting thanksgiving traffic made it seem farther. One of the trucks was actting up on the way home but made it here so that was good. We shot praire dogs until we got tired they were out good this time with the weather. We all got our deer and got an elk with our special permit tag. We saw one really big herd of elk and one with 107 in it with 5 spikes we had elk tags and cows were open but thought about it and just passed on it we had enough meat to last us the winter. Love being in Montana it;s an exciting trip.

Congrats Del...  You guys have had an awesome hunting year!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

So where are the ones you actually shot and not just with a camera?  :chuckle:

Sounds like an awesome trip. Just wondering, were you hunting private or public land?
