It was a muddy mess as of sunday and had a few jerks of the wheel if you know what i mean.  :chuckle:. Saw a few bucks still hanging with does off the backside of the lookout. Saw a 130-140 class three point that had a busted shoulder southwest down the ridgeline. He ended up bedding down with a doe but he then got convinced he needed to follow a wanna be hot doe. He was tired, looked like he wouldn't make the night. I ended up seeing the shooter and pointed him in the right direction, but it was late and i was unsure if he had another hill climb in him, as most hunters end on a sunday that buck might still be in the area. Hopefully, they ended him but if not take a peek down there you never know. Might not be your best way of a harvest but it fills a tag. One similar sized buck through the gate and to the south but the usual means hes 5 miles away and there is another 130 in his place. If you're after the does the doubles are endless.
You can say the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese!
