Shuttle T's flying really high
« on: November 24, 2012, 07:45:46 PM »
After the debacle I call a hunt yesterday and after missing a 4x4 BT over his back I had to figure this out. Shot the bow today and realized it was the first time I have shot the Shuttle-T's from the new bow, new rip cord rest and new release... Rookie mistake! Each shot was about 10 inches high. Then, shot my G5 Montec's and they were money!!! So, now at least if I miss again I can't use the excuse that my broads heads don't fly straight :).

Anyone else have this problem with Shuttleq-T's?

If you lived closer I'd give mine to you! Wonder why this is happening?

If they are 125's you can send them to me.  I will gladly dispose of them in an elk. I will even send pics after I do.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Bummer. Let that be a lesson to you... Always practice shooting your new bow BEFORE the hunt.

I had used shuttle T's last season and they shot well out of a diff bow. Lesson learned that not all bows and rests shoot the same.

if you like them just take em n do some rest adjustin.shouldnt take 2 long at all to getem hittin with you field points.im no expert on any of this but if they are hitting high you should just have to bump you rest up or your nocking point down o touch

Somethings not tuned right. I would just shoot the Montecs. I've shot them since they came out and have never seen a reason to try something different. They seem to be more forgiving to your set up.
Never stop preparing for next season.

Not all broadheads will shoot like your field points. Infact most will not shoot 100% the same. You need to indeed shoot them before using them. If you want to hunt with them it sounds like you will need to adjust your sights to match them or stick with the montec's.
