Wolf sighting Cub Creek?
« on: November 25, 2012, 09:12:58 PM »
We were hunting in the Cub Creek drainage in a little snow squal and could have sworn we saw a wolf.  It was about 200 yds off the road behind a ranch house.  As we glassed it thinking it may be a large dog or a wolf it saw us and headed up into the brushy timber.  The color was dark gray and big enough to be a deer.  Has anyone had any sightings in the same area?  GMU 218 Chewuck.

Nov. 17th. Sat. Mid morning while it was snowing. It was big. It seemed spooky and headed for away from the ranchhouse.  Id say 150lbs. Or we'd have taken it for a dog.

There a thread for wolf sightings
http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,79244.400.html

and on the WDFW page, another place to report sightings.
http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/species/#

Please do both. Thanks,
