A few are starting to show up.
« on: November 26, 2012, 08:56:47 PM »
Here is a pic of a buck I got in 2010. No pics of him in 2011 and he finally is back this year. In 10 i believe he was four and a half, so this year he is a 6 year old.

The other  pic is of a deer that has three pedicles, and one more for fun.

If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

Looks like your big three in the first pictures huh?  I love the coloring on his cape.  That gray muzzle shows he is definitely over the hill.  Leave the three horned buck alone.  He needs a couple more years.  You know  ;) save him for me.

I believe you can age a deer by the pic. There have been a few threads on this. DB Is good at it also. I think once a deer has filled out and his neck is almost as thick as his chest he is 4 1/2 . After that his nose appears to get shorter cause his forehead gets broader. His belly line sags and his back is no longer straight. A really old buck may even get gray around eyes and muzzle. That buck in the post is at least 6 1/2 years old .. Maybe even older.
