BURRIS AR-332 3x-32 prism sight
« on: November 10, 2012, 11:21:50 PM »
Anyone use them?  I just picked one up on a whim, selection was limited at Cabelas  :(

Sorry mods, I got this in the wrong spot - feel free to move it.

I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with this sight

If you all go to buy one make sure the arrows are fully printed on the turrets, my windage arrow is missing so you don't know which way to turn for R or L - not a huge deal if you etch it on yourself but shouldn't have to do that.

Also the clicks are so soft it's easy to jump 4 clicks when you ment to go 1 click, so I started just going to the tick marks and not trying to feel the clicks with cold hands.  Would be nice to have a better click so you can seat the dang thing better  :bash:

The reticle gets pretty cluttered when trying to bullseye shoot target at 100 yards, wish the ring was not so thick, it covers a lot of paper.
I got it close and called it a day, so right now it's softball sized group @ 100yds with remington soft point ammo.

What I was really impressed with was the iron sights, I was printing some pretty tight groups with just the irons.
I was an easy 1 moa @ 25yds and baseball sized @ 100yds

I might just go with irons  :chuckle:

ya, need to run some more down it.

from digging around on the interweb sounds like a carbine mil spec rifle is only going to print a rough 3-5 inch group @ 100yds - some are saying this one is better than most.

had a decent review, seems to hold pretty true with what I've seen thus far.
