first coyote of the season
« on: November 27, 2012, 10:57:45 PM »
So I found time to go out and make a stand before work yesterday. I went to an area ive always had some luck in. I set up over looking a valley the leads to a deep draw and started calling. The wind changed on me and blow right down the valley. After about 3 min I heard a coyote bark and I see it standing at 300yds down wind but still coming. I pull up my range finder and range where it was to not see it. I start glassing to see the coyote going away and It turned broad side at 550yds just look back toward me. I pull up on it and pull the trigger only to miss. It took off stright to the right so I put back on its nose and the 50gr vmax hit its mark sending it rolling down the hill.
