Correct Arrows
«

I bought a PSE X-Force in October of 2007. It is a 50 - 60 lb bow set at about 48lbs. The arrows I was told to use were MFX340's. I believe from Eastman. A friend of mine mentioned to me that the arrows may be wrong. That maybe I should be using the 300's. Well I need to get a dozen more arrows in the very near future and need some advice on what to get.
I also want to choose my fletch and knock colors. So I guess I need to buy bare shafts.

The MFX is a Beman shat Michelle! With your draw weight and lenght you should probably be using a 500 spine shaft! the bigger the number the weaker the shaft - at least with Easton and Beman. A 340 would be for a 65 - 75 lb bow with a 28" shaft or longer...

Thanks guys. I was not sure who made the arrow. Though I thought I had it right, I should have looked at the arrows. I do know that they are 340's. Anyway I didn't choose the arrows. When I bought the bow I asked them to set me up with some arrows since I wasn't sure what to get. Guess they gave me what ever they had in stock at the time.
My draw length is set at either 27 or 27 1/2 inches. I am not sure exactly. Befor I bought the bow I was told I'd get all the help I needed to sight it in and get set up. Well then I bought it and it didn't happen.

Go over to sportsmans warehouse. Those guys will help you out. Or run down to the lucky shot in chehalis. They have a nice range and super nice guys there. I do agree that a 500 spine would better fit you.
This type of crap is what just pisses me off about shops. Sending new archers out without the proper set up. If it wouldn't consume so much play time I'd open a shop of my own. I bet a shop with great customer service would do well around here. Not like we have much to choose from.

Yes, we do need one. What shop did you buy it from?

Passion your probably right in there with spine weight. Maybe possible to get by with a 340. But Michelle was shooting 340's with only a 48lb. draw. Way over spined...

I shoot a Vulcan and prefer a little stiffer shaft. They fly like darts 3-71 ACC I've shot that shaft for 6-7 years love everything but the price.
444.5 grain arrow @ 290 fps ain't bad

Yeah Olympic Archery sold me my entire bow set up back in October of 2007.
Went and got some new arrows Saturday at Lucky SHots Archery. Shot my bow for 4 hours. Got my 10 and 20 yard pin sighted in at the Archery shot. BTKR came over Sunday evening and we shot our bows and I got my 30 yrd pin sighted in. Probablystop at that for now and work on my form and repetition. Then I will work on my 40 and 50 yard pin.
I have to say I was fairly impressed wit Lucky SHots Archery down in Chehalis. They have quite the set up. They have a 30 yard indoor range, 100 yard outside range, and I believe a 3D course but I wasn't looking for it. Very freindly down their as well. I will deffinatly be going back. They havn't worked on my bow yet so I can't vouch for that. I ordered arrows from them and had them with in an hour. I had wraps put on with blazers.

Some they sold them to ya too
I have heard nothing but good things about Lucky Shot archery, your comments just adds to that. I intend to make a trip down there after the season to look around. I won`t let anyone work on my bow, i do it myself, have for the last 16+ yrs.

Wish I knew how to work on my own bow. Maybe one of these days I will take the time to learn.
