Ducks are flying like crazy. Wind got em up and off the bay, but made for interesting shooting.

Better than me I hunted a private corn pond that has brought limits every time I have hunted it, But we only had one pass all morning. We each put down a bird but the pass only had hens. On a plus note they were HUGE northern Mallards with 3/8s of fat!

I drove down to Padilla Bay ad they were all over the flats and bay itself?

What area were you hunting?

Not many ducks flyin around Eatonville/Roy area. My lower pasture has been hit or miss.... mainly missing!
. The ducks are hiding out somewhere. I went scouting today after  this morning's hunt and only was a few mallards and widgon ( maybe 15 total). 1000's of acres of sheet water...green fields...no ducks.  We need some weather up north to get the birds moving. Reading the DU migration updates it seems like we arent the only ones waiting on the big push.

I have five private spots in the yelm area. I only had three ducks come in today and two of them were before shooting time. I did find a few more this afternoon. I will be hunting in the morning.

Coming down south tomorrow! Hope I'm not disappointed! Haha keeping it easy tomorrow so slow hunting won't break my heart.

There's too much water right now, gives the ducks too many places to sit. It's going to be slow unless something changes.
