One time Rick and I didn't leave until nearly 9 pm.

And get stuck on the pass for 3 hrs while they clear an avalanche like I did last year.

Wenatchee River is near the middle of the state.  My wife and I guide rafts there.  Anybody interested in running the river May through July one weekend?  Minimum age is 8 if you bring kids.

There's a riverside orchard that I've camped at before, fit our group of 40 with room to spare.  I'll see if it is available.  Great if someone has a backup location though... not too far from Wenatchee - Leavenworth.
