I saw a NICE NICE NICE NICE NICE bull with in 25 yards  and didnt get a chance to take a picture. He POOF GONE right after I open my camera.  >:(  U see the Ground was peed by bull, I wish I could bugle myself but didnt bring my cow calls. oh well. I am not East Elk hunter just scouting around. So I decide to put Cuddeback around it. Hopefully get better picture.

I admire the fact that even though you are deaf, you are still out there giving them hell!
Must have to have sharp eyes and nose to make up for the missing sense.  You sure have psoted some nice animals in this last year!

Mulehunter - my hunting partner is deaf also and we have always made a great team out in the woods.  He has some of the best eyes in the woods I've seen and often spots stuff before me.  Sometimes we'll set up in different locations 50-100 yrds apart and use our binoculars to sign to one another silently - no loud radios.

He and I are going on our very first archery hunt for east side elk in 2 days and can't wait.  Looks like you found a great place!  Did you draw a bull tag or are you going for a spike/cow?  Hope you have some help packing, cause 8 miles would be quite a grind to pack an elk out by yourself in this weather!  Good luck.
