So... Many of you saw my post looking for a place to stay for my hunt. The first 2 nights I stayed with some friends in their hotel until they went home.

Thats when these guy's took me in as a stray. I had met firemansam on the side of a snowy hill last year and ran into him this year in Cabela's. He told me to stop by one night at their camp. I also ran into huntergreg last year during our trips in the same area. When I stopped by I met Jesse, Jason, Tim (not sure of their names on here) huntergreg and firemansam. These guy's offered up space in their awesome wall tent and treated me like I had been part of the group for year's. We shared stories and hunt's together for the next 5 day's. Up and down with tired feet is the name of the game over there. We all had shot's on deer.

Thanks to Jason, I was able to shoot my best buck to date. Let me say that for all intents and purposes this deer should be his. If it were not for missed shot's and mix ups I would not have been taking the final shot on this nice 4x4 buck. We were both standing there at 20 yards with this buck sound asleep in his bed. Thanks again Jason I owe you one big time.

Like you said in your post it should have been Jason's deer. You shot a barley legal 3 point and had a pass through. You couldn't see blood because you are color blind. (according to you). While you had Jason tracking your deer he saw this buck in one of his beds. Jason took a shot and hit him in the back of the neck and opend him up and the deer ran off. While still tracking your deer he saw this deer bedded down and he called you over to make sure this wasn't the buck you originally shot. It had the big gash on his neck.  You said that, that was the buck you shot and shot him and killed him. But when I asked you on the radio if you found the deer you had a pass through on you never said a word.  :bash: :bash:  So you ended up lying about this being your deer and shot it over Jason. You still have a barley legal 3 pointer you never looked for dead on the side of the mountain.  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

  highside, POOR FORM!

Sounds like poor form by both parties. "jason took a shot and hit him in the back of the neck and opened him up" Sounds like the group was taking crack shots and making poor shots on both ends.

Wow   :dunno: Those are the type of actions that don't get you invited back into camp....

Either way, great buck!
