Girlfriend got it done on a E WA whitey
« on: December 03, 2012, 01:22:48 AM »
We tried getting her a buck in Sept, but things just didnt work out or were to small. So we hit the hills for the last 4 days and after a whole lot of nothing the last few days last night this buck showed up and she couldnt get pins on the buck and wasnt comfortable with the shot and the buck went on his way. This morning we woke to a down pour and a wind advisory. I really didnt have high hopes...we saw a spike and 3 does in the first hour..then we caught movement coming our way and it was 4 does headed our way..the last doe kept looking behind her..I scanned and couldnt see anything, so I went on to watching the does. It was about 5 min later I look back the way the does had came and I see antlers in the weeds..it was the buck from last night..he was coming right at us..then about 50 turkeys came down the hill making a ton of noise and the buck was a little weirded out by them and annoyed and went to our right..no shot..the does were now on the other side of us and he wanted back over to them..he then started walking that way..told her to get ready 26 yards..he stopped she drew and let the arrow fly..I didnt know if she got him or not as I was watching the video cam screen and couldnt tell..then I noticed the blood pouring out of him..he walked 15 yards and tipped over..perfect shot :)  She was a happy girl.. 2nd deer this year and here second archery deer in 2 years in WA
