Can you help?
« on: December 05, 2012, 05:51:52 AM »
I need a replacement stock for my Winchester model 70 xtr featherweight 257 roberts. Any ideas where I can find one. It sure seems like I have looked everywhere. Thanks!

Call Stockys Stocks, they will have a Bell & Carlson for it. Drop in fit with the aluminum block. Sometimes their site can be a little off on what is acctualy in stock. They are great to deal with, if they don't have it on hand. You can order one, in whatever configuration, color or camo pattern you please.

Cool, how difficult is it to change all components into a new stock?  Is that something everybody can do or should only be done by a gun smith? Thanks!

Have installed many Bell and Carlson stocks. They provide a fair fit, but generally require minor inletting and a skim-bed bedding job at the minimun for the best fit re: accuracy. Most all aftermarket stock will require this. It is easily accomplished by a home hobyist with a little research on the procedure.  :)
