I've never seen another person's cam

Or even thought about looking for one.......WTF would I want with someone else's cam???? Hell my dad had a whole hunting cabin "borrowed" YEARS ago up on Nanuem ridge, by some opportunistic logging hands working down the road.
When me and my teenage buddies found it we helped ourselves to a few of the Raniers they left inside while they were gone for the weekend. We were on a survielance mission.....

i think people need to start putting sturdy locking cables on their cameras.  20 dollars to prevent the loss of a 100 - 200 dollar camera is worth it is it not?     that being said, if i ever come across a camera in the woods, i will not steal it, however when the person pulls their card they should be prepared for some x rated pictures

yes. off my property. i left a note but they never called so i guess i stole it.

I had this happen, found two of them on my private (posted) property... Left a note and the guy actually called to the days later, not only did be get his cameras back, he got officially trespassed by a sheriff's deputy... Deputy didn't think the guy would show us, but sure enough he did... Wasn't too happy I took down his cameras and wiped the memory cards... Deputy reminded him he was lucky they didn't just disappear and then told him to be on his way.

I can't say in would ever touch a trail cam that wasn't mine and on publicly accessible land.

Probably sent while sitting on the ferry... While using Tapatalk 2

I have posed for cameras and will again in a heartbeat.....

I would and do endose the taking of those you find on YOUR property that were not placed by you.

I would never take/damage one that is not mine on public property.

This reminds me of a fella 20 years ago when I worked in retail.  He was carrying his very young daughter through the store when right in front of me she said, "Steal something Daddy, steal something".  He looked me right in the eye, smiled real big and replied, "not now honey, people are watching".
That little girl probably has a couple of pure bred thievin up and comers by now.

I've never stole one but a buddy and I have turned them around on the trees before. So they point at a tree a foot away.flipped them over so all the photos are upside down. He did hang one of mine in his barn corral once I got a ton of cattle pics. few cheekens.

I am the one person who voted no and would given the oppurtunity

The reason why is if it was my camera that was originally stolen I would want it back. Also would steal one if they put it right over my camera or salt lick.  I would only steal the memory card and would replace it with a new one ;).

Then that wouldn't be stealing  :dunno: that would be retrieving your property...

I've taken the SD card out, wiped out my pic and returned... I've set trail cams out plenty of times but each time, i'm fully aware that this may be the last time i see it. A local farmer i know found a game cam on his property last year, he smashed it up with a stick and left it. The camera owner found it and confronted the land owner and wanted to be reimburssed for his loss. The land owner told him where to shove it. So the camera owner takes it to small claims court and the land owner was forced to pay the damages even know this guy didnt have permission to put his camera on the property.

:chuckle: :chuckle: yeah I was surprised when I heard that. I couldn't believe he took it to small claims court. Although one thing he might have had going for him is that the local land owner only leases that piece. He doesn't own it. But I really don't know how those laws work. I heard the land owner thought it was a WDFW camera... :chuckle:
