Big Old Blacktail getting Older.....
« on: December 05, 2012, 04:21:27 PM »
This buck showed up last year during a two week time period and disappeared the rest of the year.  Was delighted to see him again this year, during the same time frame.  He's looking a little older and a little more haggard.  Maybe he's getting lazy in his old age as he presented a daylight photo opp while last year he did not.  Antlers even look a little smaller this year.

The daylight photo really gives this guy justice as to just how big he is.

that is a damn fine blacktail sir, he looks a little skinny in the last pic, maybe you could start feeding him some sweet colb with molasses and fatten the bad up for next year

That's funny because he's been going through about 10lbs of apples every night!

Yeah I have a buck on camera this past week that looks like he's coming out of the rut and has trimmed down a bit and just gorged on all the apples.
